How to Really Fish Boat Parties: Joining, Countdown, and Leaving Before Departure
How to Really Fish boat parties explained: step on the yellow platform, watch the CHOOSING PARTY counter and STARTING IN countdown, use the red Leave button before zero, and confirm the TELEPORTING arrival at Forest Island.
To join a boat party in How to Really Fish, walk onto the yellow platform in the lobby. The interface switches to CHOOSING PARTY while it waits for other players to step on, a STARTING IN countdown begins automatically, and a red Leave button stays on screen the whole time if you change your mind before it hits zero. When the countdown completes, the screen reads TELEPORTING and the whole party is dropped at Forest Island together.
What a boat party is and playing with friends
Co-op is available from the start of the game with no unlock gate. Friends join the same server directly through the Roblox join flow, and the boat party is the core group tool: forming one lets the group teleport together between fishing spots, turning shared runs into fast farming loops. Servers hold up to 50 players, so there is room for a crew — note that this is server capacity, not the size of a boarding party.
Joining a party in the lobby: platform, party state, and counter
Every run begins in the lobby. To board:
- Walk onto the yellow platform to join a boat party.
- The interface switches to
CHOOSING PARTYwhile it waits for other players to step on. - Wait for the party counter to fill. Documented playthroughs show waiting until a party reaches 4/4, and one reviewed lobby image also showed a 4/4 party and a 2/2 party side by side, both with departure countdowns — so party sizes can vary. Read your own platform's counter rather than assuming a universal four-player requirement.
The game is in beta with weekly updates, so party-size options and countdown behavior may change; recheck the live lobby labels before relying on any fixed number.
The STARTING IN countdown and leaving before departure
A STARTING IN countdown begins automatically once you are in a party, and a red Leave button stays on screen the whole time if you change your mind before it hits zero. Pressing Leave removes you from the boarding group before departure; if you want to stay, simply let the countdown finish.
Departure: the teleport transition and confirming arrival
When the countdown completes, the screen reads TELEPORTING and the whole party is dropped at Forest Island together. You can confirm the boarding succeeded when the location label shows Forest Island and the money objective appears. After arrival, the boat party also lets your group teleport together between fishing spots during the run.
Before the countdown ends, check the visible party state on your platform — that is the one step that confirms you are departing with the group you intended.
